Hi there, We bought some Sablefish at the Pacific Station Market on Wednesday and could not believe how delicious it was! Thanks so much for directing me to the Takako recipe - it was fantastic. The Langley Market is flying along. The market will run each Wed. from 3pm to 7pm starting July 8th and running until October. Once our market manager has been hired I will have them contact all interested vendors.
I hope you'll be able to join us at least some of the time. Your smoked salmon and halibut is still the best I've had in the valley. I moved from Abbotsford to Langley now and I don't get to the Abby market anymore so it

Someone said they wanted the Sablefish recipe I made on Saturday night. So here it is! It comes from Mary Anne Charles. Her company is “Fresh Off the Boat” I’m going to forward her last broadcast email and it has the Teriyaki Nut Encrusted Sablefish recipe on it. The Sablefish is so tender it melts in your mouth! Her fish is excellent quality and reasonably priced too – Salmon, Halibut, Sablefish, Prawns, and she delivers to your door! Cheers! Have a great long weekend. It’s supposed to be hot & sunny!

Thank you for your email. The halibut was wonderful! I actually did my own thing with it. Once defrosted, I squeezed fresh lemon juice on it, salted, peppered and put a light dusting of powdered ginger on. Then I pan seared it, and finished it in a hot oven, served it with a little fresh chopped parsley on top and it was delicious!!

Thank you so much for your kindness in sending the Wild Salmon along with Cal. I baked the first piece last night, and it was delicious. Perhaps Cal told you that Wild Salmon is the one thing I am supposed to eat regularly while I am healing this cancer situation. I don't eat it as often as I would like, since I am not working these days, so I doubly appreciate your gift. Now whenever I eat salmon at home, I will think of you and send a blessing your way.

Just to let you know that the party was wonderful! The Shrimp were just great! I want another Smoked Salmon Log and another 5 lbs of Large Side-Stripe Shrimp, along with that order of Halibut PLEASE. What fun they were. We barbecued two huge fillets of Coho, 5 lbs Shrimp, 2 dozen oysters, 1 dozen turkey sausage, 3 lbs chicken breasts and various other appetizers.
